Every birth deserves the dignity of safety and care.
Our Story & Mission
“No woman should have to risk her life giving life.”
BeWelle was founded in response to alarming maternal mortality rates across Africa. With a vision to create change, we developed essential obstetric supplies, maternity kits, and educational resources to address preventable complications. Our passion for safeguarding mothers led to a commitment towards community empowerment and education.
We have served thousands of women and their families across various communities. Our initial focus is on the most at risk regions where we have existing partners able to support local solutions for long term success.
Our kits and educational programs have reached remote areas, ensuring that vital resources are accessible to those in need. Together with our partners, we work to make safe delivery a reality for all mothers.
Our mission is to reduce maternal mortality and morbidity across Africa and other high risk regions through the distribution of essential obstetric supplies, culturally relevant maternity kits, and community-based education (‘no woman dies while giving life’)

Our Journey

Every year, hundreds of thousands of women in Africa lose their lives during pregnancy and childbirth—most from causes that are entirely preventable. Behind every statistic is a woman full of dreams and a family forever changed. As founders with expertise in public health and clinical practice, we knew that the solutions existed—trained health workers, accessible facilities and supplies,
respectful care, and strong community support systems—but the gap between knowledge and access remain far too wide.
Drawing on our professional experiences and a deep personal commitment, we created BeWelle to be part of the solution. Through lifesaving supplies, maternity kits, and education, we aim to give mothers the resources they need for safe pregnancies and deliveries. But our mission goes beyond immediate relief. We are working to build sustainable impact—empowering communities,
strengthening health systems, and advancing maternal health equity so that the change we create today endures for generations. This is not just our journey. It is a call to action.
